Learn, Network & Grow — that is the mantra with CodeOps started 6 years ago
The Co-Founders Hari and Ganesh met 15 years after their college in a mutual friend’s wedding. They discovered common interests in sharing knowledge, building communities, and exploring new technologies. They quit their well-paying jobs but didn’t know what to do next. Their common skills was Java, and Java 8 was about to be released — so they wrote a book on Java!
For spreading the rich knowledge they gained while writing the Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer certification book, they started their first meetup on Java. They loved the idea of learning, networking and growing as a community, and so they started 10 more meetup groups. Today the meetup groups have ~56k members.
KonfHub and QuizHub
One thing led to another, and CodeOps Technologies LLP was officially started in 2016. Currently, CodeOps has three wings:
Software development & consulting
Corporate training (primarily to Fortune 100 clients)
Premium resellers of JetBrains tools
Over the years, the community work has only expanded, with CodeOps starting to organize some of the India’s large tech conferences. The CodeOps team noticed large gaps in the conferencing platforms at that time, and to fill that gap, started KonfHub Technologies as a separate entity in 2019.
The recent platform release from KonfHub (with development work done by CodeOps) is the QuizHub platform. It is a unique MC-based LIVE quizzing platform that can be used for online, hybrid or in-person events. To make this quizzing platform accessible to all, currently the platform is offered free of cost to everyone to use!
Software Consulting & Development
Today, the main focus of CodeOps is on custom software development and consulting on serverless technologies.
CodeOps successfully builds, operates and maintains developer platforms such as AWS re:Skill. CodeOps provides consulting services to organizations large and small, especially on React & NextJS (in front-end) and Python & Node (in backend) and on AWS and Azure cloud platform development.
Award Winning JetBrains Resellers
As Java developers, Hari and Ganesh loved using IntelliJ IDEA — a tool with amazing development and refactoring capabilities from JetBrains. This passion led CodeOps becoming an Authorized Reseller and Service Partner for JetBrains. CodeOps has also contributed to organizing JetBrains Day India, across multiple cities in 2018–19.
Their understanding of developer mindset and sales focus helped CodeOps receive three awards from JetBrains in 2021.
Covid-impact and Team Growth
During the last two Covid years, the team has gone completely virtual/online. This has helped spread the team across India. Having embraced the Work-From-Home (WFH) culture, CodeOps has now grown into a 35-member strong team, and is on track to double the numbers by end of this year.
